Private equity capital is moving into the marina sector faster than most groups can build the technology and reporting bench to run it. Aggregators with 5+ locations — and up to 75 — are acquiring faster than they can integrate: standardized systems, consistent data, and real-time visibility across every location often lag behind the deals themselves. CEMI closes that gap — leading the technology roadmap, systems integration, and reporting that let the portfolio run as one operation instead of many.
Multi-year plans that sequence investment across locations so every dollar of IT spend maps to a business outcome — not a trend.
Portfolio-wide dashboards and forecasting across every location — slip revenue, occupancy, service, and capacity into one view.
ERP, CRM, HRIS, BI and PowerApps — selected, implemented, and standardized across every acquired location.
Post-acquisition integration playbooks for groups that just closed — and technology and data readiness work for groups preparing to be acquired.
As Chief Information Officer of Safe Harbor Marinas, I helped expand and institutionalize the IT organization from 6 to 50+ professionals as the company scaled to 160+ locations through the integration of 25–50 acquisitions — including its own private-equity-backed acquisition and growth. I directed architecture and technology strategy for NExT, the company's flagship marina management platform deployed across 101 locations, and was executive sponsor of Dockspot, a customer-facing reservation platform generating meaningful recurring revenue. That work spanned both sides of the deal: integrating newly acquired marinas into standardized systems, and preparing operations and data for the scrutiny of acquisition itself.
Marina aggregators with 5–75 locations, roughly $25M+ in revenue — operating across the U.S. or Europe.
